AGO - An Artful Poem

At the corner of McCaul and Dundas,
In Ontario's beating heart of Toronto,
Lies an oasis of art and cultre,
It's the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Used to house some of the greatest art,
But now they're hiding, in the depths of the AGO.
Protected from perils of construction,
While into the gallery, people cannot go.

Work is going ahead on schedule,
At a mere price tag of $254 million.
The structure is rising up,
As if it were filled with helium.

Designed by famed architect Frank Gehry,
Canadian, like The Tragically Hip,
Like art from the Group of Seven,
The project manager thinks it will be a hit.

When it opens its doors,
In fall 2008,
There will be the moment,
For which art aficionados await.
